Well, this week has been insane. And it's only Tuesday, well now Wednesday. We have started our first week of classes and I'm already extremely overwhelmed.

Cheers to a new semester. This one is gonna be a tough one. I won't have much of a social life. :/ But it's kind of a good thing because I really need to start focusing/ keeping busy. So i don't let my mind wonder. That happens entirely too often.
Lately, I've been walking my sister's boyfriend's dog. Her name is Marley and she is precious. She's a STRONG yellow lab and loves to run and pull my whole body. We walked in the graveyard, it was perfect.

I want to start cooking more often. I think (if I have the time anymore) I may start trying to cook/bake one meal a week and see how I do. I am usually a horrible baker. No matter how great the directions are, I will somehow another screw them up. BUT no fear Kate, I'm gonna get better at this, I promise. I need too! Baking and cooking is fun and it's a great way to distract your mind off the sad things.

Sorry, that nap that I took lasted longer than I expected. But I have found my way, and I am back!
I've spent my morning eating toast, drinking coffee, reading, blogging and thinking.

I haven't blogged in quite sometime. I don't even want to look back and see what my last entry was. I'm scared it's going to be something incredibly sad/depressing.

But anyways, these past two nights have been quite insane. Only really for me though, just strange. But in a good way I guess- for my mental health/stability.

The past two weeks have been really really great actually. The first week, I hibernated the whole week. I read a book, I watched movies, i wrote a good bit. It was nice. The week after that I went home and spent sometime with my family and see friends that I haven't seen in a while. I had such good conversation. Weird feelings at some points, but it was all pretty good.

I'm going to make a to-list for today. But just stopping in, and giving you a little heads-up. I'm back! and ready to start this new year. I think/hope/know this year will be grand.

I'm going to come back and write more tonight. I will warn you, some of my posts are going to be different here and there. I just want some variety with my blog.

I want to have fashion posts, question posts, a picture an hour post, intimate post, conversation posts.

Just something new, you know?

I'm going to Nashville this weekend to get away and take a break from everyone in this town.

I went to Starbucks this morning to grab some coffee, solely because I don't have to pay for it myself. I havent eaten food since probably Monday, so I figured I'd get a wheat bagel or something. I walk out with a cup of coffee, 3 scones and a piece of pumpkin bread.

I don't even like scones.

Relationships are hard. No matter who the person is, gender or even with an animal. It's so mental. It's so involving with your physical being, your mental stability, your heart. I feel like God gave us these relationships to test us. To make us stronger, to help us grow, to help us learn and to help us realize who we are.

I don't think there really is a definition of a "relationship" the definition is just so vague and open and huge that it would be hard to pen it down.
My relationships with people involved in my life right now have been up and down. It's a strange feeling. You never know what will happen in the future or how things will pan out. And most of the time its not what you expect.

I know I over-think everything and I'm trying to stop that. Worrying about things and over-thinking leads to nothing, you just begin to create a situation that isn't even true or that won't happen.

I'm learning. I'm growing. But I'm also struggling. But I know that is what life is all about. You grow, you see, you believe, you trust, you love. But it all comes with time.

Time is my friend here. Must remember that.

Just wanted to drop in and say hi. I've had a rough few days. Not been feeling well, head cold, haven't been motivated, taking too many things personally, thinking the worst in every situation..

But enough of my complaining. Tomorrow is a new day. Currently, I'm sitting in my bed, drinking some hot chocolate. I don't normally drink hot chocolate, but I've had so much tea and coffee today, I needed to switch it up.

I thought about going to get drinking tonight, but alas... I stayed in, watching heaps of Netflix.. (aka The Office and Grey's Anatomy). I'm wearing my mom's little robe that she gave me last time i was home. It's cute. :]

I think I'm about to pour myself a giant glass of water and take a sleeping pill. What I need is a good nights rest. I have class at ten tomorrow morning and I should wake up and get coffee and go over a few things before I go to class.

I need to stop watching Grey's Anatomy. It doesn't help with my overall attitude.

Blah. That's how I feel.

By the way: I know you are reading this. I'm sorry about my last post, was just out of line and was thinking too much... sorry. I care so much about you and I want you to be happy.

I spent my day drinking heaps coffee, journaling, pinning, resting and watching pointless tv shows.
I think I may go get some red wine and relax tonight.

The next few nights/days will be stressful on my head and heart. I have my final portfolio due Friday.
I'm also throwing a great great friend of mine a birthday party. [hopefully she will not see this]

I love cheering a cloudy grey day up with a coffee and going through my favorite blogs.

I haven't been inspired by many fashion blogs or runways lately, but I Agyness just changes my mind every single time.

I must get up and go to class tomorrow. I missed class today because I went to the doctor and spent entirely too much time in different rooms filled with different germs.

I had to get a chest xray as well, which is alway slightly strange..

Now I'm on 3 different types of medicines for my sickness. Not to mention the other medication I take.

I'm a mess.

For the next few days, I will fill my brain with art, more reading, more journaling and more tea. I'd really like to explore more organic teas.

Any problem that you could ever have, I have a tea for it. :]

Two weeks of brutal thoughts flowing through my mind. Makes me feel physically sick to even imagine what could happen within a week.

I was unafraid, because pain and I hadn't met yet.

I miss that.

Why are people so afraid to take a chance? Why are so many people so afraid to step one step out of the comfort zone that they have built. Why are people so afraid? Why are you so afraid to open yourself up?

Don't get me wrong, you should never fear because it's fear that drives you to insanity and worry.

I don't have fear in me when it comes to you.

I hope that within a weeks time, you learn about yourself and who you are. Don't let me influence you. There's no choice to be made.

It's hope that sends you to belief and opens your heart again, breaks down those walls for you.

I may have hope. But I know you can't say the same.

I'm back I'm back!
I'm so sorry for the MIA business that I have pulled. I've been so busy with school and work. But I do have a few minutes to spare. I use to be a good blogger... sadly I have slacked.

I think these past few months have been incredibly eye-opening. I feel as if I've really come along way with my anxiety. Which is a HUGE step in life. my life rather.

I am finally on my last year of school.... what to do afterwards? No idea. Definitely want to keep staying in the retail business but I want to upgrade. I've worked retail for almost 6 years and I want to become a buyer.. and go to trade shows. Then I will paint on the side for extra money. :] That's my plan...

Not too much has been going on. Ups and downs, but you know.. just gotta take one day at a time. I've really really fell behind on my lookbook. I need some inspiration here.

New Goals:
1. Get more sleep.
2. Work on more art.
3. Work on being positive and not thinking about past/future..
4. Keep busy
5. Smile.

Happy Sunday. :] I just got back home from Jackson. I'm going for a late night swim tonight at an incredible house around the corner from me. An incredibly beautiful house, there's a huge garden surrounding the whole entire house.. Love love love late night swims... Tom is sleeping right next to me on the couch. Oh my goodness he looks so cute. I am so fortunate to have such an adorable kitty cat. This week will WILL WILL be a good week. I'm working a good few days, which is really great. I love my job, here. I have class each day at ten... it's not too bad really. Just a really boring class, and I just ordered my book. I'll make it. :]

Guess I'm gonna head. I'm watching MTV Music awards... I know I know.. but, it's entertaining. My coffee is cold.. but it's okay.

Today is the second of June, I'm at work.. it's incredibly slow.......... oh retail. :] but I love it, so much.
These past few weeks have been super duper weird. I've been incredible scatterbrained ... I have a wedding to go to this weekend in Jackson and it will be heaps of fun.. Plus I'll get to swim in my pool, and I can't wait.

Sometimes, I find myself thinking entirely too much. And I realize that we all hold ourselves accountable for this. It's hard not to think all the time. But then it begins to result in over-thinking, which then leads to disaster. I constantly have to tell myself to not over-think things and to sometimes let it go.

I'm beginning to become aware of who people really are inside. It's sad how much a good person changes into such a terrible cruel person. It's sad that some people change for the worse rather than becoming a better person. But, I'm learning to not put time into people who will not show me the kind of respect and care that I show/ have shown them. It's a waste of time, honestly.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not asking for anything from people. I do deserve respect, but If I chose to give to them, the only thing I ask in return is respect. It's unbelievable how some don't even know what that word means.

On a better note, while I couldn't fall asleep at all last night, I live streamed Coachella and it was incredible! I watched this chick named Ellie Goulding? If you have checked her out, do so! She's great. Plus she's super cute.

I also watched Ratatat, incredible. Watched a little of Chromeo. Watched the Strokes, some of the National, Duran Duran, Mumford and Sons, Pj Harvey. Which by the way, go check out her head dress, freaking incredible. I almost died!

All morning I've been listening to a small band called Valley Maker. His voice is incredible, I've never heard anything like it. It's so beautiful, especially with the beautiful woman harmonies in the background. I heard about this band about a year ago from a few friends of mine. Oh my goodness, it just makes my heart melt it's so blissful.

Drinking a heap of coffee this morning, about to go to the grocery store (yuck!). I have a passion of dislike that goes out to grocery stores. I like to go to the farmers market as much as I can, but I have to get cat supplies.. which the farmers market definitely does not have.

Anyways, today I AM making a to do list and I WILL accomplish it. Need to do things today. For sure. So, I'm going to stop blogging.

Right now, I'm drinking heaps of the stalest coffee in the entire city. But, I don't really want to leave my parents home and go buy some. So I made some from this giant ziplock bag, that has been in the pantry for I don't know how long. Eeeek. I know, right? I just threw some vanilla soy in there.. it tastes... eh.. little watery. Oh well, any coffee is good coffee to me.
I've been writing a whole lot lately. It makes me feel good. I have been alone most of my time here at home, since my parents and most my friends are out of town. Writing is like having a best friend, write there. It's really nice.

I went out to a small little restaurant and bar down the street from my house last night. It was really nice, I just listened to music and wrote. It was humorous because, every person that walked by was fascinated that I was writing at a bar. It was the oddest thing. I got home pretty early. My friend Martin and I went to Waffle House last night around 2:30. We didn't leave until about 4:30. It was nice, we just talked. Heaps of coffee!

Anyways, today was good! I woke up late, ate some fruit and an english muffin. I got dressed and went thrift shopping around town and roamed. It was blissful. I bought some guy jeans, they are so baggy and loose.. haha it's quite funny to see me wearing them.
I lied out in my back yard this afternoon to get some color in my skin. Can't really tell until I take a shower later. I may go have a drink with a friend tonight, may just stay in and take a long bath. I haven't really decided yet.

These past few days have been so weird. But I'm working on really concentrating on myself and not talking to many people. Sometimes you just have to take time for yourself. I feel like so many people get wrapped up in other people and forget about their mental health. It's hard being the person that every one comes to for help. It becomes a burden and then you forget about you. You are the only one that can actually make YOU happy. I've taken a break from people for a while. Working on my mental stability, school and finding inspiration. Whether thats art inspiration, fashion inspiration or just overall mental inspiration. It's good to take time for yourself. Don't ever forget that.

I did this rayogram a few days ago. I love the simplicity of it. It's incredible being in a dark room, completely alone, listening to music.

Tonight, Hunter and I went to Aladdin's, one of my favorite favorite Mediterranean restaurants here in town. Then we went to the local coffee shop and crabbed some free coffee! Following the coffee, we opened gifts in the car.. it was so chilly outside tonight. After we both opened gifts, the Christmas music was immediately turned up and the car top was let down. We drove all around town, listening to music, drinking coffee, singing out loud, looking at lights, shivering together and watching our hair blow as the convertible drove on. The night sky was perfection.

Tonight could not have been any better.
Eeeeek. Goodness. I love Hunter.

I have the cutest boyfriend in the whole world.

Tonight, I drank entirely too much coffee and did some sketches. I also wrote a few of my pen pals. The weather is freezing! But I like it. I sat on the couch all day under a blanket drinking tea. It was magical.

I also had 2 shots of espresso this morning. So So SO good.

I've been feeling a good bit under the weather. And look at me, going to sleep at 1:12 am. I need sleep, I've go to to work in the morning!

Hi pretty followers.

How was your weekend? Mine was filled with wine, good company, hot tea, sleep, work, movies, church and cleaning [all day today]!

Today I've just taken it easy. I don't have a final tomorrow.. but I've got to run some errands. My photo imaging project is due tomorrow eeeek! But I am happy with it, besides the fact I was suppose to have 30 seconds of narrative.. and of course I forgot to do that. Shucks, Kate. I worked many hours to get this video done and perfect Thursday morning/all day, that I forgot a big one! Oh well, I did my best. :)

Anyways, Thursday night.. I lost my phone at a holiday concert I attended. It was a sad night, I loved that little slider phone oh well, I have a niftly ol' go phone. I don't mind it, really.

I am happy to say that I am ALMOST done with my Christmas shopping! I've got one more bigggg present for Hunter and a present for my dad and then I will be DONE!

Right now, I'm sipping on some Chamomile tea about to looks at a few blogs before I *try to call it a night. I have such terrible insomnia.

So this weekend, while I was home.. I went to a different coffee shops each day :) When I visited Starbucks, I ordered Vanilla Rooibos Hot Tea. Um... ah hem... DELICIOUS. SO GOOD.
If you haven't tried it, please please do. It has a hint of spice and a splash of vanilla. So good and is perfect for the cold weather.

I just took the most amazing bath. I am house sitting/just staying at my friends house and she has the most comfortable house plus its absolutely adorable. She is an interior designer... Her bath tub is huge, so I took FULL advantage.

Fall is here. I love November.

This weekend, I am going home. Saturday morning, I plan on waking up.. getting my suitcases together, grabbing some coffee and then head home. :) I really am excited to go home. I have a few anxious thoughts about it.. but overall, I'm happy to sleep in my old bed, see my dogs, see my family, see friends and get some good coffee. Yay.
I really do love driving and taking road trips. I am working on my anxiety dealing with car rides. If I drive then I am fine, but once I get in the backseat.. I can't control it. Ugh, but I'm working on it.

On a better note, I am starting to like the drive to Jackson. It is quite boring though. :/

I'm hoping to take some pictures while on my drive home. Yess.
I'm gonna miss my 1205 house though. It's my comfort zone, it's my cave, it's my shelter from everything. I have grown to love this house so very much. But hey, I'll only be gone a week. Haha

I took this photo a few months ago. It's the light in front of our street. Sometimes it can be magical to just sit in the middle of the street at night and look at what's around you. Our house is surrounded by green plants, trees, grass, leaves and stray cats. Sometimes, when I can't sleep at night, I will go sit in the street.
A few days ago, Hunter and I did a photo experiment. Well, I did rather. He was just the model.

Eh. Just experimentin'.

Look how pretty this tea can is? Gorgeous. Anyways, I had strawberry hot honey tea for the first time the other night and let me just tell you.. it's like sparkles in your mouth. So delicious. The Strawberry-Kiwi chilled tea from Cups in Fondren (Jackson, MS) resembles the taste. YUM! If you can find any type of strawberry hot tea, try it! You will be glad you did, I promise.

I'm sorry i've been such a bad blogger lately. It's the busiest week for me. But good news, I will be home in Jackson on Saturday. I can't wait to get back to work at Soma. It's my home there. I can't wait. I also get to see my family, my friends, my dogs AND sleep in my bed. Whoot. I can't wait to just relax. Hello hello. How was your weekend? Mine was great. A very lazy Saturday plus my roommate turned 21 on Saturday. We had a blast.
I'm currently listening to some Mogwai and trying to figure out a way for me to wake up. My medicine makes me incredibly tired. :( I need to be studying right now. Ugh.

Well, some good news. I will be doing a blog post about friendship and you all get to meet my best friend Rachel! She's the most beautiful girl I've ever met. I love her so much.

You will love her! I love her and so I think you will too. I just want to show everyone out there how important friendship is. Rachel has been such an amazing friend to me and she will be the first one (other than my sister) standing by me on my wedding day. I love her. Get ready!

Hi beautiful bloggers. Right now, I'm sitting at High Point about to start studying till Hunter calls me to help him pack for New York! He leaves tomorrow. He will LOVE it. I'm so jealous!

I'm listening to Regina Spektor, she's amazing.

Her songs remind me of my friend Isaac, who passed away a year ago. I miss him so much. He was and is a beautiful creature who was full of life and glitter.
Miss you love.

Anyways, this week has been a pretty decent week. I'm so ready for the weekend, yet I'm so not ready. I have to study my butt off all weekend! I have such a busy week next week. But I see the light at the end of the tunnel! Thanksgiving!!!!

I'm also getting a haircut Monday. I love getting my hair cut. Going shorter this time...

My hair is about this length now.. it grows so fast! I have very thin fine hair... eeeek!

This was in May. My hair doesn't really look like this anymore. Oh well, getting it cut!

You should all listen to Stars. I've always loved Stars, but every time I listen to them I fall back in love. Oh My GOSH! Guess what? I get to see Mogwai in May!!! Mogwai is one of my top favorite bands. Maybe even my top 3. Yess, in my top 3. I can't wait.

Bored and not sure what to do. Trying to study, but can't focus. My muscles are sore from working out yesterday. I'm doing yoga every other day and working out hard the other days. So, doing yoga sometime tonight before I head to bed. I think Hunter and I may walk to Sonic to get something yummy to drink tonight. Whats something good to get? Does sonic have hot drinks?

I decided to stray away from hot tea for a week. I LOVE Tazo's iced tea. The best in the Summer! But no worries, you can still drink it in the Fall. :)

Go out to your local grocery story or even Starbucks and grab you one. They have different types if teas too! Yum. So refreshing.

Today was great! This morning, I woke up early to go to the grocery store to get some soy milk, coffee and granola bars.. oh and yogurt! Then I took a shower and got my things together for my BFA review. Which went really well! I had a class at two and my review was at three. While I walked back from class to the art building, I even had time to grab an iced chai tea! Yum.

This afternoon, I joined a gym. I'm not trying to be one of those "omg, I have to join a GyM" I just want to get back in shape. I figured if I have to pay 40 bucks a month, then it will be a good incentive to go.

Now, I'm at High Point drinking some tea.

I'm so lucky I have friends who work at the coffee shop. <3

In a few, I'm going to visit Hunter, he is working at a wine tasting. Yum. :)

Magnificent Monday

Good Morning.

I'm at my kitchen table drinking a cup of Green Mountain Organic Coffee. Have any of you had this delicious goodness? It's really good I must say.

Every morning, I either drink chai tea, hot tea or a cup of Raspberry Chocolate Coffee from Seattle Drip. I am so lucky that my roommate is a barista. But really, it's nice to have a change of coffee every few mornings, you know?

Anyways, to recap my weekend... it was great. I saw Of Montreal Friday night. I can't believe this was my first time to see them. I am so naive! This is the greatest band live. Now, don't get my wrong I've had a few of there songs on my ipod for years (Disconnect the Dots and Wraith Pinned to Mist and Other Games).

Literally, fantastic. I fell in love that night. Seriously. Plus, this band is sentimental because my good friend Isaac was in love with this band. He died exactly a year ago today. :( He was a beautiful soul who had glitter footsteps and rainbow breathe. I miss him a lot. I see him in different people almost
every day. I love you Isaac.

Today is a new day. I have a feeling today will be great.

I'm feeling a bit better. Just drank a cup of hot water, lemon juice and a tablespoon of honey. I feel a bit better today.

Trying my best to stay positive! I am incredibly busy today. So, I'm on to making my To Do list. I've got to get ready for class. But! I did write some letters today :) They will go in the mail as soon as our cute little mailman comes today.. (someone tore off our mailbox this weekend, rude!).

If any of you are getting a sinus cold, I know how you feel! Hopefully we will all get better soon. Hot tea, sleep and honey!

This is what I'm drinking right this second. It really does calm you down. It's so much flavor and deliciousness in a little cup. Go out and get some.. it's so fantastic.

I have to make this a quick post, I have a class at 8 am. I am feeling absolutely crummy right now. I just took 2 multivitamin gummies (I get really nervous taking any type of pills). Are they suppose to make you feel nauseous? I ate them with a granola bar. Ugh.

I have so much congestion, it's annoying. So I've been drinking uncanny amounts of water the last 24 hours, and I'll drink more. I have my ocean saline nasal spray (which by the way, tastes horrid). I have my mucinex, which I haven't taken.. because the pill is ginormous. I'm a little baby when it comes to taking pills.

Do any of you know any great remedies or actual facts to help with congestion and the normal sinus cold. I hate hate hate going to the doctor. Please help!
I'm off to class, I hope you are feeling great and healthy, not like me!

Ugh, I feel gross. I have slept for a total of 13 hours today/last night. I still feel groggy. I'm drinking hot cider, watching some tv show and figuring out what I'm doing for Makers Market.

I've slept today, cleaned, gotten incredibly upset, gotten mad, sleepy, went to Walgreens, made tea, lied around, watching part of Alice in Wonderland, ate some granola, took some medicine, nasal spray, and drank Vitamins A, C and D. I must must get better tonight. I have a busy week ahead of me.

Even though I'm feeling ill, I'll post some pictures for you all, since I haven't posted MY photos in forever.

Anyways, these are from our Halloween Party Saturday night. For Halloween, I didn't do too much. But I did leave out candy IF we had any Trick or Treaters :) We didn't have any.. I don't think. But I still decorated my house at least.

I'm sorry I've been such a bad blogger these past few days. Life has been pretty pretty busy. Currently, I am drinking some "Calm" Tazo hot tea, such a delicious flavor. It really works! I went to see one of my favorite bands tonight, Dead Gaze. My good friend Cole is the head man and he is unbelievable. There is so much talent thriving in that guy. He kills every show he plays. He was a huge part of my life during my freshman year of college. He has a piece of my heart, always and always.

Also, Winter Sport played, which consisted of two of my good friend's Gabe Stanley and Martin Powell. Great show. I left early, a little anxiety started kickin' in. It was a great show though!

It has gotten so cold here! Well, not that cold.. yet. But it was a great feeling.

So what are you all up to tomorrow night? I think I am having a calm night. My friends band is playing, so I'll probably go to that for a bit. Maybe get some hot tea as well, before-hand. Hmmmm.. Yes!

Tea Tuesday!

This tea has helped me out a lot lately. As you most know, I have terrible anxiety. So i fill my stomach with tons of hot tea to relax. I have a few weird stomach issues, so instead of taking tons of Tums, (thinking it will help my stomach weird noises or pain) I'll drink a nice hot cup of this tea. It helps.. it really does. It tastes nice and refreshing too! You can get this tea at any local whole foods or it's also in the Organic section at your local Kroger.
You all should try this tea!
( I will warn you though, this tea does leave a weird funky sweet taste on the back of your tongue after every sip.. just to warn so you don't freak out after you have a sip)

Today was no make-up Monday. Actually, there are many days I forget to throw on some mascara and blush.. but every single Monday I forget. So, I have no-make up Mondays.

With no make-up comes also with semi dirty hair that is braided and put up :)
It's nice to be able to rub my eyes all day and not have to worry about messing up anything. As I walked to class this morning, I danced to La Roux song Bulletproof.. it just got me in a great mood. I went and got an iced coffee and hung out with some friends until I had to walk to my other glass a few minutes away. I then got home to this little monster:

Hunter and I just made the most delicious Homemade Banana Bread! We didn't have a bread pan so we made banana bread cupcakes. I ate two of them and made some loose leaf hot chai tea. Yum.

Last night, we carved pumpkins!

We picked 2 medium size ones and then 3 small ones (so I could paint on them). :)

The weather was perfect here in the south. So we took great advantage of it.

Carving pumpkins is always a fun experience. Getting dirty and working hard for the best and prettiest outcome.

I tried to make mine look like a girl with a bow, but it's kind of hard to see it.

Sorry for the long picture post. We had an eventful and fun night. Ok, last few pictures I promise. Last night we also made pumpkins seeds. Now whether you are suppose to use these seeds or not, we did :)

They were pretty good I must say. I little tough to chew at some points, but still good.

Yum. Right now, I'm sitting in bed enjoying my latte about to do some journaling. :) Semi-watching Gossip Girl.
So last night, Hunter made me dinner. Once again it was delicious. We made these corn circles? I don't know, we had never had them before.. we decided they were just circles of gritz. Haha but still, pretty good. And Hunter sauteed some zucchini. I love veggies.

So, since I had some free time tonight.. I decided to be crafty. I really don't get that much free time during the day, so when I do have free time.. I make things, design, paint and relax.

So, I spray painted these different frames and then put a few pictures in them. I will be adding more soon! 5 looks a little odd. :/

So, after the past few days.. I wanted to post a type of tea that always soothes my throat and eases my body and mind, because I know that's what we all want!

Organic Green Tea

Yum! I love each and every type of Tazo tea. They are truly delicious. On my next visit to the grocery store, I am going to try to buy 1 flavor of hot tea that I do not own and try to experience each type of tea out there. I know, it's going to be hard.. but how will I know if I never have tried it?! I'm very cautious about what I buy at the grocery store. I'm a vegetarian and I really care about what I eat and drink. I try to mostly buy only organic. Thanks to the good ole Kroger, they have a nice organic/vegan/vegetarian section. It's the best. A little pricey I must warn you, but still.. oh so worth it. Today has been a rather busy day for me. I woke up early this morning (previous post) to study for an art history exam. Turns out my class got canceled after I had walked all the way to the art department. Oh well. Then I read my new book for about an hour or so and went to my next class. I have been writing my artists statement for the past eh 45 minutes and now I'm off to finish 3 cylinders due tomorrow. THEN I'm hopefully going to Matt and Kim tonight. Whoot! Ok, I know... short and uninteresting post.

It was so hard to get up this morning. It is now 8:41 on Monday morning. I haven't blogged in a while due to my long-needed visit home. I had a great time. I didn't want to leave. I shopped for a ring for my birthday, got some new clothes and shoes, bought a book, and went out to see some bands. It was a good weekend. Saw great friends whom I never get to see.

I made a latte this morning. It's delicious. I know this picture looks creepy, but I'm looking rather tired and sleepy this morning. I woke up early to study for my art history test. Of which, I should be studying now. But I felt like I should blog just for a second :)
I've started reading this book called Rat Girl. Have any of you read it?
It's a memoir of Kristen Hersh who was in a band called Throwing Muses. Well, it seems like a good book. So I bought it and I am now in the process of reading it. It is quite entertaining I must say. Good read.

Well, I'm off to study. Yuck.

I had a great birthday weekend. Thank you to all of you who made it worthwhile.
Like I said in an earlier post, Maggie (my roommate made me a delicious cake).. yum!

Whoot. That cake was divine. I've eaten entirely too much this weekend. I shall start back my exercising this week.

I was a little hesitant about my upcoming birthday. I turned 21 and I'm just not a huge drinker. I'll have some wine here and there, maybe a beer... but that's about it. So I was incredibly nervous and anxious all week wondering what in the world was I going to do for my birthday. Hunter helped me out and thought of a great plan. We went to the delta and it was so much fun.

My boyfriend is cute.

Hunter surprised me with beautiful sunflowers on my birthday too. :)

Happy Tuesday to all. I just took the best nap, I feel better. I had a bit of a meltdown today for a little while, but I took a long nap and I feel a good bit better. Anyways, today is Tea Tuesday and I will be featuring different hot tea's for all of you to try!

Yum, I can't wait to get my hands on some of this tea. It looks delicious and I know it smells amazing.

Happy Monday! It's chilly outside! 57 degrees! Whoot! It feels nice. This morning, I did not go on my early morning walk due to the weather man. Apparently, it was suppose to rain last night and this morning. But I woke up and it definitely wasn't raining. So, slept a little later this morning. I will walk tomorrow morning, for sure. Woke up, showered, got dressed, ate some yogurt and granola, wrote my grandmother a letter, fed Tom and now I'm getting my books together and my lunch to take to school.

So, like I said.. Happy Monday. My morning has been spent getting reading, writing and listening to Bon Iver. So good. Gonna go journal a little, then go to school. I'm living you with some inspiration for your Monday. Enjoy!

Yum Two.

So for the first time tonight, I tried this amazingly delicious ice cream. YUM #2! It's so good, the texture is so smooth and it just makes every bite perfect. (Plus it is suppose to give you good karma*)

I've really tried to go organic lately with everything that I buy to eat and it's really great. A tad bit more expensive, but that's ok. I'd rather be organic and be green. :)

I'm slightly obsessed with La Roux Bulletproof song, I know I know it's constantly overplayed blah blah blah. But I just found out about this song like two days ago. I listened to the whole thing and its super catchy. I really like and I really like her too. She reminds me of my good friend Ashley.

So, one of my goals(I will be making a goal post soon!) is to become more crafty. I'm slowly gettin' there! #1

(has anyone had trouble uploading pictures? Because it seems mine take hours and hours to actually load... anyone have any advice)
** Does anyone know how to download Photoshop for free? -with no viruses, I need help!

Anyways, tonight will be filled with rice ice cream, roommates, outside chat, homework and of course tea.

Tired! But... guess what, Hunter and I made French Toast this morning! Yummmm. It was good!

Decaf coffee, from Starbucks. It's alright with Vanilla Soy.

It was really good. We even have leftovers. Whoot. So last night I had the house to myself. I got home from work, made some dinner, then made my brother the ultimate happy birthday card. It's a little card with different layers and a mixed cd in the middle. I got the idea from DIY from RedVelvetArt . I just added some good songs that he can listen too. We have pretty different views on what is "good music" but hopefully he will like these songs.

Well.. our (my brother and I) birthday is next week. October 2nd. Whoot! Anyone have any ideas on what I should do? I will be in Oxford.. my brother will be in Birmingham. Hmmm... thoughts on any good ideas? I went to Austin City Limits last year for my birthday, this year I want something memorable but also low-key.

Who knows, I'll think of something. I love Sundays. It's a great day to relax. I have a lot of school work today, but as of right now I am procrastinating as much as I can. :)

Hello beautiful people. When I woke up this morning, I was greeted with the most beautiful sounded voice on a voicemail. My cute cute friend Ashley left me a late night voicemail. It made my day. :)
Such a pretty girl. I wish I had a picture of her on my computer.
Anyways, I've been working on some sketches for a t-shirt design for the local art market here in Oxford, Ms. It's called the Makers Market. Hm mm whatcha' think?

Just a few things simple.
I think we may have people over at our house tonight. I work from 12-4 tomorrow. Gonna take some photos of the store and update the facebook page. Yay!

Things that make me smile: walking early in the mornings, Hunter, hot tea, Ashley, getting letters in the mail, chai lattes, sleeping in, journaling,working retail, movies, walks at night, riding in convertibles, skyping with friends, sitting outside talking with my roommates.

Things that I'm looking forward too: my birthday in two weeks, my anxiety slowing getting better, getting a letter in the mail from Ashley, designing new designs for t-shirts, paintings, sleeping in.

Happy Friday! I woke up this morning to go walk/jog and I saw 8 different looking cats throughout my walk. It was the strangest thing! They were all different types of cats. So weird, Oxford is like oddly infesting with cats everywhere! That's how I got my cutie little Tom :)
Well, I'm off to sit outside and finish my coffee, I always make a huge pot and then never ever drink the whole thing.. oh well.. It's hard to drink tons of decaf.. you know?
